About Deirdre
My name is Deirdre and I am a Masters student from the United States. I have been living in Paris since September 2021, and am currently completing an M2 at the EHESS. I miss my dog back home dearly, and would love to spend time with some pups!
I have had dogs my entire life and am very comfortable with them. I got my current dog, a chocolate lab named Bruin, in 2015 and was his primary caretaker. I housetrained him and taught him a few tricks (his favorite is shake!). When I left for university he became much more the family dog, but when I visit home I walk, feed, and play with him!
I had both small and big dogs growing up, so I am familiar with walking and playing with dogs of all sizes! I also walk and exercise a lot in general so am very comfortable taking longer walks and being out/physically active with the dog for longer periods of time.
I am a full time student but am currently only taking one summer course, so I have a very flexible schedule. I also don't have any pets of my own in Paris, so can take pets in for boarding easily.
Par ailleurs, je peux parler en français! Je n'ai pas de problèmes avec lire et écrire! Mon parler n'est pas parfait mais j'adorais l'occasion de pratiquer!

We were thrilled with the care Deirdre provided for our dog Cooper and cat Sookie, as well as our apartment. Deirdre was incredibly attentive and our pets were happy and well-loved. Communication was fantastic, too. Sadly a couple of day before traveling our dog has a medical urgency and needed to be controlled by his vet, Deirdre was amazing applying him eye drops and took him to his vet consultation… What she did was fantastic and very attentive with the situation. We are very grateful with Deirdre, our flight got cancelled and she helped us with the situation. We highly recommend Deirdre for anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter, with a lot of love the little ones.
