Hey! I live in central Haarlem with my partner Carl and pup Lenny. Animals are my biggest passion and I've spent my whole life around dogs and horses. I'd love to get a second dog but in the meantime the second best thing is dogsitting :) I've been dog sitting for over a year after moving to the Netherlands and really love it. I work from home so the dogs are rarely left alone. As we live in an apartment, we do 2 short walkies (30 min) and one long walk per day. The long walk is up to 2 hours in one of the forests, in the dunes or the beach. On weekends I go to packwalks and your dog is welcome to join. I realize no normal person walks the dogs that much, but Lenny is a 3 year old border collie/golden retriever and needs a lot of physical and mental exercise.
I have experience dealing with reactivity issues and generally nervous dogs. I have spent over a year now working very hard with my own dog to deal with his behavioral problems and learnt a lot. He has improved tremendously but still has low tolerance of young males that are not neutered and don't respect his space, which is why I am not the right person if you have one! Before I agree to sit your dog I would like to set up a meet and greet, and ideally do one day's trial. IMPORTANT: I do not host male dogs that are not neutered OR females that are in heat. Sorry! Also - your dog must be able to handle stairs (1st/2nd floor).
Doggy day care and Dog walks always have a flexible cancellation policy:
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Egle is an amazing dogsitter. My dog Tika loves her and her dog. And Egle is really good with dogs and gave me some tips for a behavioral problem my dog has. Would love to bring Tika many times to her.
Egle understands dogs really well, and I felt very comfortable leaving her in her hand. I totally totally recommend her!
Romi had an awesome time with them, she had so much fun she was in bed by 8pm. Thank you Egle and see you soon. :)
