Hello!

Thank you for looking at my profile. I am Annebelle Elgersma, a Dutch au-pair staying in Cannes until the end of June 2025. My current au-pair job doesn't require much of my time and I would love to be around more animals during my stay here. 

My whole life I have been mesmerised by animals, dogs and horses in particular. From a very young age I started watching programmes from people like Cesar Milan to gain knowlegde on how to work with dogs and understand their behaviour. 

I also started horse-riding with the age of 10 at a western ranch where they focus on the (body)language of the horse and how to work with a horse based on trust and body language. At the age of 13 i put what I had learned online and through family into practice with my own dog, a small mutt from a shelter in Greece that we rescued when I was 5 years old. When walking her, I would observe her body language and teach her to walk next to me instead of in front of me. When feeding her I would teach her to sit down and wait before she starts eating, etc. Sadly, she passed away in 2018 and I eventually wanted to find new ways of working with dogs.

Throughout my teenage years I have worked with lots of dogs that suffered from trauma or developed certain habits. I am willing to do whatever possible to positively benefit you and your furry companion. Seeing a happy dog with a happy owner is everything to me. 

When walking your dog(s) I will focus on the behaviour on/off leash and I will always try to optimise the behaviourisms for you and your dog. If this is something you do not wish for, please let me know! 

I will always be led by the standards and wishes of the owner(s) and never perform any actions out of the ordinary without consulting this with the owner(s) first.

The host family that i am staying with own 2 small dogs. At the moment i am working with one of the dogs to walk correctly on the leash and changing behavioural patterns. 

The services i can offer are very divers and i have experience with all of the services i offer, such as:

*walking dog(s)

*spending the night 

*training on/off leash

*feeding (training)

*changing patterns in behaviour

*reading behaviour

Any animal is welcome to be watched over and taken care of by me. 

Sadly i will not be able to take dogs in at my own residence. Since i am living with a host family it is not allowed to bring unknown dogs in.
