Hi! My name is Selma, 32 years old. In the past year I quit my paid job, started for myself as an e-learning developer/instructional designer and travel with my husband, often choosing to pet-sit . This works very well, because we discover new countries, but at the same time we have a home base everywhere. The animals help enormously in the feeling of 'coming home'. So over the past year I've spent a weekend looking after a playful Australian Shepherd in the US, a sweet dog and cat in the South of France, two semi-feral cats in Portugal, and a cat with arthritis (where they take CBD oil) in Normandy.

As a child I was always surrounded by animals. We lived in a quiet neighborhood in Eindhoven (Netherlands) and have always had cats there. In addition, we had hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, a mouse and chickens alternately (not all at the same time ;-) ) and I always let the dogs out in the neighborhood.

I've been away from home since I was eighteen and I miss pets so much! On the street I always stop to pet all the cats and dogs, it sometimes drives my boyfriend crazy and my running laps last a lot longer! I really enjoy taking care of animals, walking them, feeding them and socializing/cuddling/playing with them. That's why I signed up for Pawshake, so I can take care of pets once in a while and help others out at the same time. In Amsterdam I also regularly babysat the cage-free rabbit of a friend of mine, Boebel (that's the name of the rabbit, not the girlfriend).
