About me: Hello! I’m Francoise, in my thirties, living with my friend and housemate in Ixelle.

I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and even wanted to become a vet (I wasn’t good enough at maths). 

I grew up with cats and small pets and was the cat mom of a Maincoon, whom I trained to walk on a leash and took out for daily walks! 

I’ve always dreamed of having a dog. Unfortunately, I travel too much at the moment to commit to a full-time pet right now, which is why I’d love to care for yours!

Work and flexibility: I work in IT and the majority of my time is spent working from home with a very flexible schedule, this offers me a lot of time to look after your pet!

Experience: I have experience with both dog and cat sitting for weeks at a time. Looking after my neighbours and friend’s dogs or cats. 

This includes active dogs such as Samoids or Icelandic sheepdogs who need a lot of walking (I am very active so this suits me very well) but also cases such as shy rescue cats who have very specific needs and need some patience and time before establishing trust! 

Caring for your pet: I have used Pawshake in the past as an owner (When I had my cat) so I understand the the anxiety of giving your pet (basically a family member) to someone else and wanting to feel updated and reassured! 

I make sure to provide:

• Regular updates and photos. 
• Check all requirements and understand the needs of your pet, every animal is different! 
• If your pet is staying over, a clean and safe environment. I have a spacious flat of about 100 square meters, with a large (unsecured) balcony access.
• Lot’s of exercise: Living by Flagey and its ponds, I can easily take your dogs on big walks and into the Boie de la Cambre. 
• Lots of affection and making sure your pet feels safe and settled!
